This site keeps almost nothing about the people who read it. What it does keep, and where, is set out below.

No cookies, no analytics
The site sets no cookies, and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. If that ever changes, only a service that sets no cookies will be used, and this page will say so.
Your theme choice
If you switch between the light and dark themes, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage, on your own device, under the name scl-theme, so the next page opens the same way. It is never sent to us or to anyone else. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes it.
What your browser asks for
Pages, fonts, scripts and data files all come from this site. No page asks another site for anything, so no company other than our host learns that you visited.
Search runs in your browser, using index files served from this site. The words you search for become part of the search page's address, so, like any address you open here, they reach our host (below) and nobody else.
Links to developers' documents and other sites take you to those sites, which have their own policies.
What our host records
Like any web server, the service that hosts these pages keeps standard request logs: the address requested, the time, the IP address it came from and the browser's description of itself.

Which company hosts the site, what its request logs contain, how long it keeps them and who can see them. The host is not chosen yet (SPEC §15; the default is Cloudflare Pages).
